About me

Hello! My name is Martin, born in Seville and now living in San Sebastian. In 2019, while I was finishing my Bachelor’s degree in History, I discovered this amazing activity that figure painting is and immediately knew that I wanted to make this hobby my profession.

I started like everyone else, collecting Warhammer, but soon enough I realised that the part I enjoyed the most was the artistic part of this hobby. This was the reason that made me attend my first painting masterclass in January 2019 and marked the beginning of my journey as a painter. I consider myself very lucky to have had amazing artists such as Rodrigo Akore, Aythami Alonso and Marc Masclans as my teachers.

This is the display that won a silver medal in the master fantasy painting category of the Monte San Savino painting contest (MSS). It was delightful to see all the amazing works that were on display this year. As always, it’s been a pleasure meeting other people from this amazing hobby that we share.

This medal means a lot to me, MSS was the first painting event I ever attended and it has a special place in my memory. Being able to come back with a medal in a superior category this time means everything to me, plus seeing my progress through this award is a great motivation to make me keep pushing my painting skills to the next level.
